Rishikesh is a small city located on the right bank of the river Ganga. Now a days Rishikesh is famous for Yoga and meditation and also becomes the hub for adventure sports like Rafting, Trekking and bungee jumping. Rishikesh is also the gateway to the four shrines of Hindus Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Every year lakhs of pilgrims come to Rishikesh for Chardham Yatra Rishikesh is also known for spirituality which is mixed in the air & the soil of this city. The morning starts with the sound of temple bells with the pooja at the temple. Pooja has been organized at every temple in the morning as well as in the evening. Ganga aarti has been conducted every ghatt of the Ganga in the evening at the time of sunset. Every day hundreds of locals and tourists attend the evening Ganga aarti, then the poojaris distribute Prasad in the local market at every shop. Everyone gets Prasad after the evening aarti if he is there in the market.
